About this course

Boulder Creek Golf Club sits in the Eldorado Valley outside Boulder City, Nevada, a short drive from Las Vegas. The municipal facility opened in January 2003 on desert terrain shaped by arroyos, and the routing incorporates lakes and waterfalls within the surrounding Mojave landscape.

The course was designed by architect Mark Rathert and comprises three nine-hole loops, Desert Hawk, Coyote Run and Eldorado Valley, that can be combined into 18-hole rounds totaling 72 par. Fairways vary from generous to tighter arroyo-lined stretches, with water features framing several opening and closing holes.

Owned by the City of Boulder City, the course is open to public play with tee times available to residents and visitors. It has hosted collegiate and amateur championships, including NCAA Division II and III events, and serves as a Monday qualifying site for PGA Tour events based in Las Vegas.

Cascata Golf Club

Boulder City, NV · 5.3 mi away

Cascata is a Rees Jones design that opened in 2000 in Boulder City, about 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. The par 72 course is built into the foothills of the River Mountain Range, with dramatic elevation changes, rugged desert terrain, lush fairways, streams and views toward the surrounding mountains. Jones describes Cascata as a "desert links," with the natural rock formations and undulating terrain shaping the routing. The name Cascata means "waterfall" in Italian, and water is one of the course's most unusual features. A 418-foot man-made waterfall runs through the property, with water eventually flowing through the 37,000-square-foot Tuscan-style clubhouse. The course was routed through existing canyons and ancient dry stream beds, and Jones has said the natural terrain was a major part of what made the site so special. The golf itself is defined by dramatic elevation changes, fast greens and elevated tees. The par 3 seventh is one of the standout holes, playing into a large green surrounded by a stream and tucked into a canyon. Cascata also requires a forecaddie, who is included with the golf experience.
