About this course

Boone Golf Club sits in a valley just south of Boone, North Carolina, at roughly 3,346 feet of elevation in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Level to gently rolling fairways and large undulating greens are framed by mountain views on every hole.

The course was designed by Ellis Maples, who trained under Donald Ross, and opened in 1959. It has operated continuously since, with a routing that mixes par 3s, 4s, and 5s across varied terrain shaped by the surrounding hills and a creek that comes into play on several holes.

Boone Golf Club is open to the public, with tee times recommended and groups welcome. Amenities include a pro shop, a putting green, two chipping areas, a practice range, and an on-site cafe. The season runs from April through November.
