About this course

Black Sands Golf Club is a public 9-hole course in Beulah, North Dakota, on the south side of Lake Sakakawea. Operating since 1953, it was formerly known as Beulah Municipal Golf Course before being renamed for the black coal slag used in its bunkers, a nod to the area's coal mining history. Played twice around, the course measures 6,226 yards to a par of 70, with water hazards and elevation change adding to the challenge of the slag-bunkered layout. The clubhouse includes a smoke-free lounge and restaurant, pro shop, driving range and cart rentals.
