About this course

Bay Point Golf Club, the Nicklaus Course, is part of the Bay Point resort property in Panama City Beach, Florida, set along St. Andrew's Bay and a marshland wildlife preserve. The course was originally designed by Bruce Devlin and opened in 1986 as Lagoon Legends, then was substantially redesigned by Nicklaus Design and reopened under its current name in 2005.

The par-72 layout stretches to roughly 7,150 yards from the back tees with a slope in the low 140s. A greens conversion to Tif-Eagle Bermuda was completed in 2018. The resort's separate Meadows Course closed after Hurricane Michael, and the Nicklaus Course remains open for public and resort play.
