About this course
Battenkill Country Club is a member-owned, 9-hole course in Greenwich, New York, founded in 1925 beside the Battenkill River in the state's Capital Region. More than half the course runs along the riverbank, which comes into view from the first green, the second and third holes, the fifth hole and the sixth tee. The par-35 layout measures just under 3,000 yards per nine, with three par 3s, four par 4s and two par 5s, and offers separate men's, women's and senior tee sets for both the front and back nine so golfers can play a full 18 holes. The club is open to the public seven days a week with no tee times required, though Sunday mornings before 11 a.m. are reserved for members and their guests. The clubhouse has a bar, kitchen and pro shop, and the club hosts outings and tournaments.

The Equinox Golf Course, a Walter Travis design, opened in 1927 in Manchester, Vermont. Travis, a U. S. Amateur champion, designed courses with well-placed bunkers and undulating greens. Rees Jones restored the course in 1992. The mountainous terrain creates a challenging layout. The 13th hole is a par 4 with a long uphill approach. Travis's greens, with their pot bunkers and "chocolate drop" moguls, provide memorable challenges.
