Arrowhead Golf Club

Akron, NY · 16 mi away

Arrowhead Golf Club is located on about 164 acres of former farmland in Akron, New York, near Buffalo. Scott Witter designed the course, with the first nine holes opening in the fall of 2003 as part of a renovation and expansion project. The 18-hole layout plays to a par of 72, with four sets of tees and more than 60 sand bunkers, plus six man-made ponds and wetland areas that bring links-style wind and water into play. It served as a qualifying site for the 2005 U.S. Senior Open. Arrowhead operates as a public course with a pro shop, driving range and practice areas, and hosts leagues, outings and tournaments throughout the season.

Morgan's Crossing

Morgan's Crossing is the former Chili Country Club in Scottsville, renamed in 2022 when Scottsville natives Tom and Todd Rath bought it. The name honors Joseph Morgan, the town's first settler in 1792. The 18-hole public course opened in 1961 and plays to par 72 and about 6,659 yards from the blue tees. The front nine is tight with water on several holes, while the back can play long. The pro shop doubles as RockBottomGolf.com's first retail store, and the practice grounds are among the larger ones near Rochester.
