About this course

Auburn Golf Course is a city-owned public course in Auburn, Washington, about twenty-three miles south of Seattle, on land that was once hop fields and farmland along the Green River.

A group of local golfers organized the Green River Golf & Country Club in 1948 and built the original nine holes; the City of Auburn purchased the property in 1969 and expanded it to eighteen holes, designed by Milton Bauman and Glenn Proctor.

The course mixes a relatively flat front nine with a more undulating back nine that climbs and descends through wooded and residential surroundings. It plays about 6,400 yards from the back tees at a par of 71 and is open to public play with cart rental.
