High Meadow Ranch Golf Club
Magnolia, TX
High Meadow Ranch Golf Club is a public course in Magnolia, northwest of Houston, designed by David Ogrin and Tim Nugent and opened in 1999. Rather than two standard nines, the par-72 layout is split into three six-hole loops, each returning to the clubhouse. From the back tees it plays 7,370 yards with a 75.8 course rating and 139 slope, running through pine forest and wetlands. The course hosts local leagues and outings and has an on-site restaurant, Ogie's Grill.
Atkins Golf Club
Urbana, IL
Atkins Golf Club sits in Urbana, Illinois, a few miles from the University of Illinois campus. Built in 1999 as Stone Creek Golf Club under the vision of Clint Atkins with architects Dick and Tim Nugent, the course became home to the university's men's and women's golf teams. In 2020, the Atkins family donated the course and surrounding acreage to the University of Illinois, and the property was renamed Atkins Golf Club. Architect Drew Rogers subsequently led a renovation that rebuilt the greens and bunkers and lengthened the course, creating a championship-caliber par-71 layout that can stretch beyond 7,500 yards from the back tees. The course is open to public play and is managed by Troon, with five sets of tees offering flexibility for golfers of varying abilities. It includes a driving range, pitching and putting greens, and Oskee's Sports Pub inside the clubhouse.
