Crown Point Country Club

Springfield, VT

Crown Point Country Club is located in Springfield, Vermont, in the Connecticut River valley area of the state. It was established in August 1953 by local golfers who had previously had to travel to neighboring towns to play, and it opened with only seven playable holes before expanding to a full eighteen in 1959. The course was designed by William F. Mitchell and is built on rolling, hilly terrain with wooded fairways, large fast greens, and two ponds that come into play on several holes. It is a member-owned semi-private club, notable for the historic Crown Point Military Road, built in 1759, which runs through the property. Crown Point plays to a par of 72 over roughly 6,600 to 6,800 yards from the back tees and is open to public tee times alongside its membership, with a pro shop, restaurant and bar overlooking the 18th hole.
