Maryville, TN

Lambert Acres Golf Club in Maryville has 27 holes in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Ray Franklin designed it and it opened in 1965. The White, Orange and Red nines are usually played two at a time. All three nines roll over sloping ground, with bent grass greens, Bermuda fairways and some water and sand. The mountain views are part of the draw. The University of Tennessee cross-country teams also race on the property. It is public and open all year, with a range and snack bar. Tee times are needed late in the week and on holidays.
