Ahoskie, NC

Beechwood Country Club sits along Potecasi Creek in Hertford County, near Ahoskie in northeastern North Carolina. The club traces to 1948, when a nine-hole course opened on land assembled by three local founders; nine more holes were added by 1975 to complete the current 18-hole layout. The Chamblee family acquired the property in 2014 and has since added a pool, fitness facility, and restaurant alongside the golf operation. The course plays to a par of 72 at roughly 6,511 yards from the back tees with a slope of 117, set among beech trees that give the club its name. Beechwood operates as a public facility with no membership required for golf, and also books stay-and-play packages, weddings, and events at the clubhouse. Golfers can reach the pro shop by phone to arrange tee times.
