Legend Buttes Golf Course is a 9-hole public facility with a par of 36 located in Crawford, Nebraska. The course was designed by Patrick Wyss and opened in 1992 after a flood necessitated the construction of a new layout. It is situated just west of the city along Highway 20, at the base of the Red Cloud Buttes and near historic Fort Robinson. The White River flows through the grounds of Legend Buttes, creating natural hazards and scenic views. The course features tree-lined fairways, prairie grasses, and wildflowers that attract local wildlife. Golfers face a challenging fifth hole with a hillside tee box and water hazards that require a straight ball flight. The ninth hole serves as a strong finish with a pond in play and the clubhouse in view, offering a strategic test for players of all levels.
