Twin Lake, MI

Stonegate Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Twin Lake, Michigan, surrounded by the Manistee National Forest about five minutes from Muskegon. The course was designed by architect Pat Grelak and opened for play in July 2004. It plays to a par of 72, ranging from 5,086 yards at the forward tees to 6,769 yards from the back tees, with tall trees framing most holes and notable elevation changes throughout the round. The club operates as a golf course community, with homes built around the layout, and it has been recognized in past rankings for its friendliness and value, though such rankings can change from year to year. A bar and grille on site serves golfers after their round, and the course also hosts weddings and other events. Stonegate offers both public tee times and membership options for area residents.
