Suttons Bay, MI

Bahle Farms Golf Course sits in Leelanau County near Suttons Bay, Michigan, on rolling farmland surrounded by cherry orchards with views toward Grand Traverse Bay. The public 18-hole layout was designed by Michigan architect Gary Pulsipher and opened in 1999. Significant elevation change defines the round, with holes dropping from clubhouse-area tees into valley fairways and climbing back to raised greens, including a notable descent on the 11th hole. Fairways mix open stretches with tree-lined corridors through the orchard property, and several holes route directly among the cherry trees. The course plays to a par of 71 across roughly 6,600 yards from the back tees. On-site amenities include a driving range, putting greens, a pro shop, and a restaurant with an outdoor patio. It remains open to public play with cart rental available, and its rural, working-farm setting distinguishes it from typical resort courses in the Traverse City area.
