Golf courses in Wellington, KS.

Wellington, KS

Wellington Golf Club is a city-owned public course in Wellington, Kansas, south of Wichita near the Oklahoma border. The course is operated by the City of Wellington's parks and recreation staff. The layout is on the shorter side by modern standards, with the championship tees measuring under 6,300 yards, so the main test comes from accuracy rather than length. Cedar, oak, and pine trees frame most tee shots, and the bent grass greens are relatively small, rewarding both aerial approaches and bump-and-run shots. The club is a member of the Sunflower Golf Trail, giving members reciprocal access to other trail courses. Rounds are known locally for pace of play, and the course is open to the public with standard green fees and cart rentals.
