Kalaheo, HI

Kukuiolono Golf Course sits within Kukuiolono Park in Kalaheo on Kauai's south shore, on land that was once the estate of pineapple industry figure Walter McBryde and, before that, the site of an ancient Hawaiian heiau. The nine-hole course winds through the hillside park alongside Japanese gardens, a collection of Hawaiian lava rock artifacts, and walking paths that open onto views of Kauai's south and west shores. The course is public and known for having some of the least expensive greens fees on the island, with a par of 36 and about 3,100 yards from the longer tees. A clubhouse, mini-golf course, and driving range are also on the grounds, and the surrounding park is popular with hikers and joggers in addition to golfers.
