Shawnee Country Club in Milford, Delaware, opened in 1960 as a 9-hole course designed by Ed Ault and Al Jamison and later expanded to 18 holes as a private club. After operating for decades as Shawnee Country Club, the course underwent a multi-year closure and renovation before reopening to the public in 2024 under new ownership as Southern Delaware Golf Club. The parkland-style layout sits just outside historic downtown Milford.

After the course sat closed for more than three years, owners Tim and Matt Johnson led a 14-month renovation with new greens and bunkers, and it reopened to the public as an 18-hole parkland layout on May 1, 2024.
