Bear's Best Las Vegas is a Jack Nicklaus-designed public course in Las Vegas, Nevada, that opened in 2001. Rather than a single original routing, the course assembles 18 holes drawn from some of Nicklaus's earlier designs around the world, including holes referencing PGA West and Castle Pines, reworked into one composite layout on desert terrain near the Spring Mountains. The course is operated as a daily-fee facility with a private-club feel, featuring bentgrass greens, desert-framed fairways, and a practice facility with two putting greens and a driving range. Carts include GPS and Bluetooth amenities. It plays to roughly 7,194 yards with a slope of 147 from the back tees.

Angel Park Golf Club (Mountain)

Las Vegas, NV · 4.5 mi away

Angel Park Golf Club's Mountain Course is one of two championship 18-hole layouts at the Angel Park complex on the west side of Las Vegas, Nevada, near Red Rock Canyon. The course opened in 1990, a year after its sibling Palm Course, and sits at almost 3,000 feet in elevation. Designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay, the Mountain Course plays up and down a mountainside and is slightly longer and more demanding than the Palm Course, particularly on its par 4s and par 5s. From the back tees it measures 6,722 yards with a slope of 132, and offers views of the Red Rock Mountains and the Las Vegas Strip. The course is open to public play, part of a larger facility that also includes the Cloud Nine short course and a lighted natural-grass putting course, with a collared-shirt dress code in effect.
