Torrington's municipal golf course, now operated as Cottonwood at Torrington, sits along the North Platte River in Goshen County, Wyoming. The course takes its current name from the cottonwood trees lining its fairways, and the North Platte's slough runs the length of the back nine.
The 18-hole, par-72 layout opened as a smaller course in 1959 and was later expanded, with bentgrass greens and bluegrass rough over roughly 6,000 yards. It is a straightforward parkland design without dramatic elevation change, built for everyday municipal play rather than championship difficulty.
Owned and operated by the City of Torrington, the course is open to the public year-round, weather permitting, with a golf shop, driving range and cart rentals on site. It is a separate facility from the private Torrington Country Club also located in the area.
