About this course
Tom O'Leary Golf Course is a public course run by Bismarck Parks and Recreation in Bismarck, North Dakota. The facility began as a nine hole municipal course and was renamed in 1969 in honor of Tom O'Leary, the city's first golf professional. Starting in 1986 the park district expanded and rebuilt the course as part of a larger master plan, with the current 18 hole layout dating to the late 1980s. The course plays as a shorter par 68 to 69 test, with wide open fairways, mature trees and central Bismarck views that make it approachable for golfers of varying skill levels. Amenities include rental clubs, golf carts, two outdoor putting and chipping greens, and a pro shop with on course snack service. Walking is permitted. The course remains a community fixture alongside a broader Bismarck recreation area that includes trails and other outdoor facilities.
