About this course
The Merit Club is a golf-only club founded by Bert Getz Sr., built in 1992 on rolling former farmland with native prairie framing several holes. Bob Lohmann laid it out, and Golf Digest credits later work to Todd Quitno and Nathan Crace. It hosted the 2000 U.S. Women's Open, won by Karrie Webb. The routing sends the opening holes away from the morning sun and brings the finish back east.
