About this course
The Majestic at Lake Walden sits on roughly 1,400 acres in Hartland Township, north of the Detroit area, spread across forest, meadow and wetland ground around spring-fed Lake Walden. Jerry Matthews designed the 27-hole facility, which opened for play in 1994; eighteen holes circle the lake south of Crouse Road while the remaining nine lie north of the road through a marshy, wooded area, giving the layout an up-north feel.
The terrain is rolling with real elevation change from tee to green on several holes, tree-lined fairways, multi-tiered greens and a mix of bunkering. Four sets of tees stretch from about 4,700 to 7,000 yards depending on the nine played.
The course is open to public play with a full-service clubhouse, driving range and dining. Boat transport across the lake is used to connect players starting on the back nine to their carts.
