About this course

Sugar Tree Golf Club is located along the banks of the Brazos River in Lipan, Texas, in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Tree-lined fairways of live oak, pecan, and hackberry frame a layout with elevation changes and water hazards affecting play on thirteen of the eighteen holes.

The course was built in 1988 by designer Phil Lumsden and is known locally as a shot-maker's course, requiring shaped tee shots and approach play from four sets of tees ranging from about 5,300 to 6,800 yards.

Sugar Tree is open to the public, with lodging available on-site for golf guests. The property also includes a shorter par-3 course, and standard green fees include a cart with weekday and weekend rate tiers.
