About this course

Stoughton Country Club is located in Stoughton, Wisconsin, with a clubhouse overlooking Lake Kegonsa. The eighteen-hole course combines a classic nine set on rolling, wooded terrain with a modern nine built through more open farmland to the east.

The original nine opened in 1922, with course work attributed in part to architect Willie Watson and to Harry Smead. The club expanded to eighteen holes in 1995 with the addition of the second nine on adjoining land.

Stoughton Country Club operates on a semi-private basis, offering golf membership with limited public guest access alongside dining and social facilities. Practice amenities include a driving range and putting and chipping areas.

The Oaks Golf Course occupies a former 168-acre family farm in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, just east of Madison along Interstate 94. The Blaska family, longtime dairy and crop farmers, converted the land into a public golf course that opened in June 2003. Designed by architect Greg Martin, the par-71 layout uses six par 3s, seven par 4s and five par 5s across bentgrass fairways, tees and greens, with more than 250 mature oak trees shaping the setting. The course plays from about 5,600 to 6,700-plus yards depending on tee selection. The Oaks is a public, family-owned facility with a pro shop, restaurant and event space, and it also hosts outings and weddings alongside daily tee-time play.
