Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail (Highland Oaks - Magnolia)
Dothan, AL · 15 mi away
Magnolia is one of three nine-hole courses at Highland Oaks, part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in west Dothan in southeast Alabama. Developed by the Retirement Systems of Alabama, Highland Oaks opened in July 1993 on land in Houston County. The Magnolia nine, designed by Robert Trent Jones, moves from low wetlands to higher ground through a hardwood forest dotted with mature magnolia trees, reached by a long wooden bridge over a marsh. Water comes into play on only one hole, and the fairways are wide with large, undulating greens, making it the gentler of the complex's nines. Highland Oaks is public, with a large clubhouse, driving range and a short course. Magnolia is usually paired with the Highlands or Marshwood nine for an 18-hole round.
