About this course

Sherwood Forest Golf Club runs along the Kings River in Sanger, California, a few minutes east of Fresno in the San Joaquin Valley. Opened in 1968 and hand-built by former PGA professional Carol Hansen and his wife Jane, the 18-hole course winds through a grove of mature oaks and sycamores that give the club its name.

The par-71 layout plays about 6,345 yards from the back tees over 105 acres. It operates as a public daily-fee course with a country club feel, offering golf lessons and hosting company tournaments; tee times and rates are handled directly through the pro shop by phone.

Airways Golf Course

Fresno, CA · 14 mi away

Airways Golf Course is a public municipal golf course in Fresno, California, located near the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. It was established in 1952 and has served as a longtime local golf destination for the area. The 18-hole layout is relatively short, with narrow fairways and small greens that reward accuracy off the tee and into the greens. This makes the course approachable for beginners, seniors, and casual players while still presenting a challenge for more experienced golfers. The course is open to the public with online tee time booking, a pro shop, and a bar and grill serving breakfast and lunch. Pull carts and rental clubs are available on site.
