About this course

Schaumburg Golf Club sits in northwest suburban Chicago in Schaumburg, Illinois, a short drive from the Woodfield Mall area. The property opened for play in 1928 and became a municipal facility when the Schaumburg Park District bought it in 1989.

The original nine holes were laid out by William Langford and Theodore Moreau, and the club grew into a 27-hole complex made up of the Tournament, Players and Baer nines. Between 2017 and 2019 architects Bob Lohmann and Todd Quitno carried out a three-phase renovation that rebuilt greens, tees and bunkers while restoring elements of the Langford routing.

The bent-grass course offers rolling terrain and can be played from roughly 6,100 to 6,700 yards depending on which nine holes are combined. It is open to the public and includes a full practice facility with a grass range tee, two putting greens and teaching areas.
