About this course
Saint John's Resort in Plymouth, Michigan occupies the grounds of a former 1940s Catholic seminary, now redeveloped as a hotel, conference and golf resort. The property covers about 200 acres of rolling and flat land northwest of Detroit.
An 18-hole course originally opened here in 1979 with nine more holes added in the 1990s. Beginning in 2022, architect Raymond Hearn redesigned the entire golf complex, replacing the old holes with a new 18-hole championship course called The Cardinal, along with a seven-hole par-3 course and a large putting course, all of which opened to the public in 2024.
The Cardinal is open to public play rather than restricted to resort guests, and profits from the resort support the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation. The course features around 50 bunkers and seven ponds across a mix of hills and flatland.

Links of Novi is a 27-hole public golf complex in Novi, Michigan, made up of three nine-hole loops (East, South and West) that can be paired in different combinations for an 18-hole round. The course was designed by architect Jerry Matthews and opened in the early 1990s. The West/East combination is generally regarded as the most demanding of the three pairings, while the East/South routing plays shorter and more open. The layout mixes water features with tree-lined corridors typical of southeastern Michigan public golf. The facility hosts outings, leagues and banquets, with a pro shop and practice areas on site. It operates as a daily-fee public course with seasonal rate structures.
