About this course
Ritzville Municipal Golf Course is a small-town course in Ritzville, in eastern Washington's wheat country, along Interstate 90. It began as a rudimentary six-hole course carved out of sagebrush hills near the town's airport in the 1930s.
A new six-hole course with grass fairways and greens was developed in the late 1930s on land donated by Judge Richard B. Ott, and the course was expanded to nine holes in the 1940s after the City of Ritzville purchased additional land. The club marked its 75th anniversary in 2015 and has produced numerous state high school golf champions over the decades.
Owned by the City of Ritzville, the course is open to the public and hosts long-running local events such as an annual men's invitational and a women's invitational tournament. It remains a nine-hole layout.
