Sunriver Resort (Woodlands)
Sunriver, OR · 8.4 mi away
Woodlands is one of the golf courses at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon, set among ponderosa pine forests in the high desert of central Oregon at roughly 4,500 feet elevation. Trout streams cross the property and several Cascade peaks are visible from parts of the course. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones II and opened in 1982. It plays about 6,880 yards from the back tees to a par of 72, with sharp doglegs, elevated greens and volcanic rock outcroppings built into the routing rather than relying on length alone. Narrow fairways and lakes add to the challenge. Woodlands is part of the resort's golf offering and is open to resort guests and the public, alongside other Sunriver courses such as Meadows and Crosswater.
Crosswater Club
Sunriver, OR · 8.5 mi away
Crosswater in Sunriver, Oregon, opened in 1995 and was designed by Bob Cupp with John Fought. The course is routed across meadow and wetland where the Deschutes and Little Deschutes rivers meet, with Mount Bachelor visible from much of the property. Water and marsh are the defining hazards. Several holes ask for a carry over wetland from the tee or into the green, and the rivers themselves cross the routing. Fairways are generous where they can be and the course stretches past 7,600 yards from the back tees. Play is restricted to Sunriver Resort guests and club members, which keeps the course quiet through the season.
