About this course
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links is an Egg Harbor Township municipal course minutes from Atlantic City, designed by Stephen Kay and opened in 2002 on land that was once an abandoned landfill. Kay built it as a tribute to the great courses of the British Isles, modeling 17 holes after famed European layouts including St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Prestwick, Gleneagles and Turnberry. The signature seventh honors an Alister MacKenzie design that won a 1914 award but was never built, featuring a three-acre waste area and an island fairway 160 yards wide. The par-71 course plays about 6,600 yards, with water on five holes and rare 100-foot elevation changes for the region. Golf Magazine named it one of the top new public and municipal courses of 2002.

Egg Harbor Township, NJ · 1.3 mi away
Ballamor Golf Club is a public course in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, set on 350 acres of gently rolling land and woods about 30 minutes from Atlantic City and Ocean City. It was designed by the firm Ault, Clark & Associates, with Dan Schlegel serving as architect of record, and opened in 2001. The course was originally built as a private club for developer Pat Delaney before later shifting to public, daily-fee access. Its design favors wide, forgiving fairways and large greens intended to be playable for a broad range of golfers, including seniors and higher-handicap players, while still stretching to more than 7,000 yards from the back tees. Ballamor is now the only course in the Ottinger Golf portfolio open to the public, with a restaurant and banquet facilities on site. It regularly hosts outings and group events alongside daily public tee times.

Atlantic City Country Club is a historic seaside course in Northfield, New Jersey, established in 1897. The routing has evolved through work by John Reid, Willie Park Jr., Toomey and Flynn, and Tom Doak. Broad views toward the Atlantic City skyline frame a course defended by sloping greens, deep bunkers, ponds, salt marshes, fescue and shifting coastal wind. The club is also recognized as the birthplace of the golf term birdie. The Taproom Bar & Grille is open to the public and brings a neighborhood-tavern feel to the historic clubhouse. Golfers can stay for drinks or a full meal while taking in views toward the Atlantic City skyline.
