About this course

Snow Mountain is one of three courses at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, located about 25 minutes northwest of the Las Vegas Strip on Las Vegas Paiute tribal land. Designed by World Golf Hall of Fame architect Pete Dye, it opened in 1995 as the first of the resort's three Dye layouts, all daily-fee public courses. The course occupies rolling desert terrain with a mountain backdrop, and routes fairways around seven water hazards along with Dye's traditional railroad-tie bunkers. It plays to a par of 72 over roughly 7,100 to 7,160 yards depending on tee markers, with four sets of tees, and finishes with a stretch of holes offering mountain views and a demanding closing hole bordered by water on the left. As a public desert-resort facility, the course is walkable only by exception, with carts typically required, and wind is a consistent factor in play.

Sun Mountain is a public 18-hole golf course at the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, northwest of Las Vegas on land owned by the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe. Pete Dye designed the course, which opened in 1996 and plays across open desert terrain with wide fairways, railroad-tie bunkers, and water in play on several holes. Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort (Wolf)

Las Vegas, NV · 0.0 mi away

The Wolf Course is one of three 18-hole layouts at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, roughly 25 minutes northwest of the Las Vegas Strip. The course sits in open desert terrain with jagged mountain peaks as a backdrop, isolated from the surrounding development. The Wolf was designed by Pete Dye, working with his niece Cynthia Dye, as the third and longest of the resort's three Dye courses; it stretches to roughly 7,600 yards from the back tees, making it one of the longest courses in Nevada. The layout is known for doglegs, split fairways, desert waste-area carries and an island green at the par-3 15th that echoes Dye's 17th at TPC Sawgrass. The Wolf is public and operates as part of the Paiute resort's 54-hole complex, with tee times bookable directly through the resort. Cart use and desert terrain mean stray shots can be difficult to recover, so extra balls are a practical idea.

Paiute Golf Resort - Sun Mountain Course

Las Vegas, NV · 3.8 mi away

The Sun Mountain course is part of the Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, located about twenty-five minutes northwest of the Las Vegas Strip on Paiute tribal land. The course rolls across expansive desert terrain with a mountain backdrop and views of the Sheep Mountain range. Pete Dye designed Sun Mountain as one of three courses at the resort, and it is regarded by resort staff as a favorite for its conditioning and natural framing. Water comes into play on only a few holes; instead, strategically placed bunkers, including pot bunkers on the back nine, and undulating fairways that pitch toward their centers form the main defenses. The course is open to the public as part of the 54-hole Paiute facility, which also includes the Snow Mountain and Wolf courses. Sun Mountain plays to roughly 7,112 yards from the back tees at a par of 72.
