Gene Torres Golf Course is a 9-hole public course in Las Vegas, New Mexico, operated by New Mexico Highlands University in partnership with the city and San Miguel County. Founded in 1958, it was redesigned in 2008 by architect Jeffrey D. Brauer into a links-style layout and reopened in 2022 after a multi-year closure. The course plays to a par of 36 at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, with generous fairways, a long par-5 eighth hole, and a demanding closing par-3 ninth. It is named for Gene Torres, a longtime NMHU golf coach and five-time New Mexico Open champion.
