Kickingbird Golf Course
Edmond's beloved municipal course: mature trees and classic Oklahoma golf
About this course
Kickingbird Golf Club is a municipal course in Edmond, Oklahoma, built on rolling terrain framed by large oak and hardwood trees, including the highest point in the city. It is Edmond's oldest golf course and the city's only municipal course.
The course was designed by architect Floyd Farley and opened in 1971. It underwent a significant renovation completed in 2023, led by architect Matthew Dusenberry, which rebuilt the greens, added bunkering, and included a new clubhouse and practice facilities.
Kickingbird is open to the public and has a long history hosting competitive golf, including the Oklahoma Open in the late 1970s and 1980s and the Oklahoma Junior Boys and Girls Championship. Current amenities include a double-sided driving range, a short-game area, and a full-service restaurant.

The East Course, designed by Arthur J. Jackson, opened in 1932 when a second 18 holes was added to the property. The course plays to about 6,420 yards from the blue tees with a par of 70, and architect Perry Maxwell is credited by multiple accounts with later remodeling its greens. Lincoln Park is public and city-operated, with a clubhouse rebuilt in 1961 and renovated again in 2015, a driving range, pro shop and restaurant.
