About this course
Island Hills Golf Club is located in Centreville, Michigan, in the heart of the state's Amish country between Chicago and Detroit, near Lake Templene. Raymond Hearn designed the 220-acre course, which opened in 1999, routing it through open meadow prairies, hardwood forests, farmland and lake views. It plays to a par of 72 and stretches 7,074 yards from the back tees, with six sets of tees for different skill levels. The course has been ranked among the top public courses in southern Michigan, and its closing holes are frequently cited among the best finishing stretches in the Midwest. It is public and offers stay-and-play lodging on site.
