Ironwood Golf Course is located in Sussex, Wisconsin, within the rolling terrain of the Kettle Moraine region northwest of Milwaukee. The facility offers 27 holes across three nine-hole courses, the Callow, the Meath and the Birr, each with distinct characteristics ranging from wooded stretches to holes where water factors into most fairways.
Designed by architect James Ceman, the course opened in the mid-1990s and has operated as a public facility since. The Birr nine is noted for blind shots and reachable par 5s, while the Callow includes a demanding three-hole wooded stretch.
Ironwood is open to public play with a full-service clubhouse used for banquets and outings, and it has previously hosted an LPGA Futures Tour event.
