General Burnside Island State Park Golf Course
Golf on an island in Lake Cumberland
About this course
General Burnside Island State Park Golf Course is located on the only island in the Kentucky State Park system, surrounded by the waters of Lake Cumberland near Burnside, Kentucky. Several holes run along the shoreline, and the back nine moves through more natural, wooded parts of the island.
The course was designed by Brian Ault and features Zoysia fairways with bentgrass tees and greens, along with notable rock formations near the sixth hole. It is part of the Kentucky State Parks golf system and its Trail Card program.
As a state park facility, the course is open to public play, with a driving range, putting and chipping greens, and a practice bunker supporting warm-up before rounds.
