About this course
Firekeeper Golf Course is an 18-hole, par-72 course in Mayetta, Kansas, owned by the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. It was designed by Notah Begay III with Jeffrey D. Brauer, completed in 2010 and opened in spring 2011. The routing moves through prairie, a creek corridor and woodland on rolling Kansas terrain, with wide, fescue-lined fairways and bunkering that asks for accurate tee shots. From the back tees it stretches to about 7,560 yards, with forward tees near 4,700 yards. The course sits about 15 miles north of Topeka off Highway 75.
