About this course
Cherokee Ridge Country Club is set against the Appalachian foothills in Union Grove, Alabama. The 18-hole course was designed by Sammy Dean and opened in 1992, running over rolling hills with a 17-acre lake bordering much of the front nine. The back nine passes through pine and hardwood forest, with three holes reworked to bring a 40-foot waterfall on Lynn's Creek into view. Bentgrass greens and Bermuda fairways make up the playing surfaces. From the back tees the course measures about 6,728 yards at a par of 72. Cherokee Ridge is a semi-private club that requires guests to be accompanied by a member, and amenities include two putting greens, a practice bunker, and a 30-tee driving range.
