The Ambiente Course is one of two 18-hole layouts at Camelback Golf Club, located at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona, near the Paradise Valley area at the base of Camelback Mountain. The course opened in its current form in 2013 following a complete redesign of the previous Indian Bend layout. Architect Jason Straka of Hurdzan/Fry led the renovation, lowering the course's elevation profile to create dramatic rolling fairways and improve drainage, while restoring native desert plantings and reducing maintained turf. The par-72 course plays to roughly 7,225 yards from the back tees, with mountain views throughout the round. As a resort course, Ambiente is available to hotel guests and the public through tee time reservations, and it operates alongside the Arthur Hills-designed Padre Course as part of the same golf club.

The Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale belongs to the JW Marriott Camelback Inn. Arthur Hills rebuilt it from the old resort course around 2000, with a new green, tee and bunkers on every hole and some holes rerouted. It does not look like typical desert golf. Large mature trees line a parkland layout that winds through a neighborhood, with strategic bunkering and square tees. The fairways are forgiving, but the approaches ask for accuracy. It is open to resort guests and the public, and shares the club with the Ambiente course.

McCormick Ranch Golf Club's Palm course is located in the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona, on land that was part of the McCormick family's cattle and Arabian horse ranch before it was developed in the early 1970s. Camelback and McDowell Mountain are visible across the property. Desmond Muirhead designed the Palm course, which opened in 1972 alongside a companion Pine course at the same facility. Water comes into play on about ten holes, and the layout has hosted a Canadian Tour event in the past. The eighteen-hole, par-72 course is open to public play year round, with a large putting green, two chipping areas and a driving range shared with the adjoining Pine course.
