Lakeside Golf Course is an 18-hole municipal course in Lexington, Kentucky, adjacent to Jacobson Park and Jacobson Lake. The property was acquired through a lease with the Kentucky American Water Company in 1968, and the course opened for play in July 1970. Set on about 185 acres, the course features large greens and rolling, open terrain, with water hazards on three holes. From the back tees it plays to roughly 7,067 yards at par 72, and it includes the longest par-5 hole in the state, at more than 600 yards. The facility, owned by the City of Lexington, has a pro shop, snack bar, banquet space and a practice area with two tees and three practice greens, and is open to public play.
