About this course
Acushnet River Valley Golf Course is a town-owned public course in Acushnet, Massachusetts, along the state's South Coast, convenient to Cape Cod, Providence and Boston. Brian Silva designed the course, which opened in 1998.
The 18-hole layout plays to a par of 72 and measures about 6,807 yards from the back tees, with a front nine cut through tall white pines and a back nine, holes 12 through 17, that opens into treeless, links-style terrain with rolling fairways.
The course is open to the public and hosts more than 100 outings each year, along with golf lessons and youth league programs run through its pro shop.

Marion Golf Club
Marion, MA · 7.7 mi away
Marion Golf Club is a nine-hole public course in Marion, Massachusetts, near Cape Cod. It opened in 1904 as the first design credited to George C. Thomas Jr., who later created Riviera, Bel-Air, and the North Course at Los Angeles Country Club. The course winds through former farmland, with original stone walls still in play as hazards on several holes. Playing to about 2,685 yards and a par of 34, Marion Golf Club is a walking-friendly layout with flat fairways, circular greens, and squarish bunkers reflecting its early-1900s design. It is the town's only public course and has been kept afloat over the decades by local caretakers and, more recently, a group of Marion natives who took over its lease to preserve public access.
Poquoy Brook Golf Club
Lakeville, MA · 12 mi away
Poquoy Brook Golf Club is a public, parkland-style course in Lakeville, Massachusetts, named for the stream that crosses several of its fairways. Geoffrey Cornish drew the design in the late 1950s, and the Marcos family built it, opening the front nine in 1964 and the back nine in 1968. The 18-hole course covers about 135 acres with undulating terrain, ponds mostly on the front nine, and large greens that are generally pitched from front to back rather than steeply sloped. It measures roughly 6,600 to 6,700 yards from the back tees at a par of 72. The club has changed ownership twice, most recently in 2016. It includes a practice range, putting green, short game area, and a pub for food and drinks, and has hosted qualifying rounds for state and regional championships.
