About this course
Achasta Golf Club is located in the North Georgia mountains near Dahlonega, about an hour north of Atlanta, within a golf community along the Chestatee River.
The 18-hole course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and winds along the Chestatee River for more than half its holes, including a par-3 played to a green on an island in the river. The layout features Bermuda greens and takes advantage of the surrounding mountain terrain.
Achasta operates as a semi-private, par-72 club; non-members may play but must rent a cart and are restricted from starting before noon on Saturdays. Amenities include a driving range, putting green, and on-site pro shop with instruction available, and the course is open year-round.
