Ted McAnlis

Bradenton, FL

Waterlefe Golf & River Club is an 18-hole semi-private course in Bradenton, Florida, built along the Manatee River. It was designed by Ted McAnlis as the centerpiece of a residential boating community, with the course bordering wide marshes and river coves on several holes. The par-72 layout offers up to eight tee options, ranging from about 4,800 to nearly 6,900 yards, so it can play as a stern test from the back tees or a manageable round from forward markers. Water comes into play on nearly every hole, including an island green finishing hole. The course has hosted multiple U.S. Open local qualifiers over the years. Amenities include a clubhouse with dining, and both members and the public can arrange tee times, consistent with its semi-private operation.
