Silverhorn Golf Club of Texas is located on West Bitters Road in San Antonio and was designed by architect Randy Heckenkemper with input from PGA Tour players Willie Wood and Scott Verplank. The course first opened for play in 1995 and reflects Hill Country terrain with tree-lined fairways and contoured greens. Water and sand come into play on several holes, most notably the par-5 6th, where a large lake borders the entire left side of the fairway on a dogleg left. The course plays to a par of 72, measuring 6,922 yards from the back tees with a course rating of 73.4. Silverhorn operates as a semi-private club that is open to public play, with a driving range, pro shop and dining available on site.
