Kissimmee, FL

Kissimmee Bay Country Club is an 18-hole golf course in Kissimmee, Florida, about 15 minutes from Orlando International Airport. It opened in 1990 and was designed by Lloyd Clifton, carved from what had been an old oak forest. The par-71 course plays to about 6,830 yards and features mature oak and cypress trees, a dozen water hazards, and sandhill cranes that frequent the grounds. The club operates a golf shop, clubhouse, banquet ballrooms and a golf museum, with tee times available to both members and outside golfers.

Estero, FL

Stoneybrook Golf Club is a public course in Estero, Florida, designed by architects Jed Azinger and Gordy Lewis and completed in 1998. The par 72 layout stretches to more than 7,300 yards from the championship tees, making it one of the longer courses in southwest Florida, and it offers seven sets of tees to suit a wide range of players. Wide fairways move through preserve areas and lakes before reaching large, undulating greens defended by bunkers and mounding. The course has been certified as beginner friendly by the National Golf Course Owners Association, one of a limited number nationwide to receive that designation. New greens were installed in 2010, along with later work on tees and fairways. A lighted practice facility gives golfers a place to warm up before rounds. Stoneybrook continues to operate as a public daily fee course.
