Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex - Kampen-Cosler

West Lafayette, IN

Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex is a 36-hole public facility on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, comprising the Kampen-Cosler and Ackerman-Allen courses. Both eighteens were designed by Pete Dye, with Kampen-Cosler an original links-style Dye design and Ackerman-Allen a renovation of the university's historic South Course, originally built by Bill Diddle in 1934. Kampen-Cosler plays as a links-style, par-72 layout with vast bunkers, native grassland, ponds, and a natural celery bog, stretching to more than 7,400 yards from the back tees. Ackerman-Allen offers a more parkland setting with rolling hills, tree-lined fairways, and white sand bunkers, playing over 7,500 yards from its longest tees. The complex operates as a public facility with memberships available and has hosted NCAA championships, Big Ten championships, and PGA of America junior and professional events. A clubhouse and practice center support both courses.
