Caseyville, IL

Far Oaks Golf Club is a daily-fee course in Caseyville, Illinois, in the St. Louis metro area, with a Scottish-style links front nine featuring native prairie grasses and wildflowers, and a back nine lined with mature oak trees. The two nines have distinct characters within the same round. The course was designed by Bob Goalby, the Belleville, Illinois native and 1968 Masters champion, working with Kye Goalby, and it opened in 1998. Bentgrass greens and zoysia fairways, along with lakes, mounds and numerous bunkers, define the challenge. Far Oaks operates as a public course used heavily for outings and daily play, and it is one of several St. Louis-area courses under the same management group. From the back tees it plays to about 6,926 yards.
