Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club

Dade City, FL

Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club in Dade City features two 18-hole courses, North and South, built on unusually hilly terrain for central Florida, about 30 minutes north of Tampa. The layouts are part of a private, master-planned residential community anchored by a large clubhouse overlooking finishing holes on both courses. The elevation changes and rolling fairways distinguish the property from the flatter courses typical of the region. Golf here has drawn attention for its terrain rather than coastal or resort styling common elsewhere in Florida.

Stillwaters Golf Club

Dadeville, AL

Stillwaters Golf Club, also known as The Highlands, is set in the hills near Lake Martin in Dadeville, Alabama, with more than 200 feet of elevation change across the property. Rolling fairways and well-bunkered greens run through wooded terrain typical of this part of central Alabama. The course was designed by Kurt Sandness of SKAMP Golf Design and opened in 1996 under the name the Traditions Course before later being renamed. It underwent a significant renovation and reopened in 2004 under new ownership. The course is open to public play and offers five sets of tees, from executive to championship length, playing to about 6,906 yards from the back. The clubhouse overlooks the surrounding woodlands and hills, and the property includes on-site lodging and dining.
