Henry Homan

Sanbornton, NH

Den Brae Golf Course sits in Sanbornton, New Hampshire, on land that was once a working dairy farm. The clubhouse still shows the framework of the original barn. Henry Homan designed the nine-hole layout, which opened in August 1958 under the Craig family, who continue to manage the course today. The course plays 2,959 yards to a par of 36 from the longest tees, with four sets of tees to suit different ability levels. It is a semi-private facility open to public play, with a natural grass driving range and a practice green. A café on site serves food and drinks, and a pro shop carries equipment. The course is walkable and geared toward casual and league play in the Lakes Region area.
